SUMMERTIME THERAPY: Big Impact!
Summertime is the perfect time for GROWTH! Whether it’s to bridge a gap from school therapy or to jump in for the first time, summer services will surely make a BIG impact! The best part is that it’s all about FUN as your kiddo soars to new heights developmentally, cognitively, socially, emotionally, with sensory regulation + more this summer!!
What do we mean BIG impact?
We’re so glad you asked!!
Here are a few of the ways…
Out with the old, and in with new:
Summer offers more time + a more relaxed schedule that can still support keeping your child + family routines on track. Any concerns, unhelpful habits, or skills your child has been working hard on can be playfully reinforced + adding new skilled strategies can support reaching new milestones!
That summertime vibe + schedule is awesome in many ways! It also helps us all - parents, therapists + children - have more time for connection, skill building + co-regulation.
Active body, active brain:
The long days of summer can be AMAZING, but they can also lead to endless screen time if we aren’t intentional. Kids can stay energized in both therapy + enrichment groups as well as learn new ideas, routines, + strategies to be active and thriving at home!! Let’s work to gather to keep those bodies and brains moving and growing!
And then, smooth sailing back to school:
Not only will participation in summer therapy + enrichment groups make for an incredible summer, but it will support a smoother transition back to school in August! These summer ideas, strategies, + routines will start becoming habits and thus translate into more integrated skills and regulation!
