STORIES FROM CLIENTS

“EXPONENTIAL GROWTH THROUGH AUTHENTIC CONNECTIONS”

“SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE WHO WANTED US TO SUCCEED”

When my oldest was three, I began having concerns about his speech. I was also noticing some behaviors that I didn’t feel equipped to handle. Everything I was trying didn’t seem to be working. I knew a friend of mine worked at Way to Grow Pediatric therapy so I reached out. From the first phone call to our first appointment, I instantly felt like I was surrounded by people who truly wanted my son (& me!) to succeed. Our speech & occupational therapists were incredible. They were able to keep up with my high energy son, switching up what they were doing on the fly to help him learn. I was amazed by how they tailored his lessons to him and adjusted their approach when he would get distracted. He was always excited to “come play” with his therapists which made it that much easier for me to bring him to appointments. Not having to drag anyone kicking and screaming out of the house is such a win in my book. I saw his speech improve and his confidence soar. When behavioral issues would happen at home, I felt like I had a game plan and plenty of tools in my tool box to help him which was such a relief to both of us. Every time we walked in the building, we felt like we were at home. Every single staff member was warm and welcoming- they could easily recall little details from previous conversations. I really felt like I wasn’t just a client, but that we were part of their family.

“W2G HAS EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS”

“COMPASSION, KINDNESS, AND PATIENCE”

Our son started receiving speech and occupational therapy services in February 2023 at Way to Grow.

From the very beginning our son has been treated with compassion, kindness and patience! Everyone at Way to Grow -  and when I say everyone I literally mean that. The administrative staff, the therapists, every single individual - has been beyond supportive!

His therapists always have met him where he is at and because of that he has built trusting relationships with his them. He is learning so much through the joy of play!

His amazing team at Way to Grow has been not only a blessing to our child, but a blessing to our family! They connected us to The Able Center where our child received his evaluation and diagnosis. The report was above and beyond are expectations!  Because of the support we have received, I feel our IEP process went a lot more smoothly and knowing that we have an amazing team to lend support to our child was so reassuring.

We are forever grateful to Way to Grow Pediatric Therapy!! 💜🪁🫶

“WE LOVE YOU, WAY TO GROW!”

We have been going to W2G for a little over a year now for speech therapy with Miss Kellie. If you’re around on Tuesday afternoons, you’ve probably met Parker - she loves to say hi to everybody!

We started our time at W2G when Parker started to show frustration with communication, especially at meal times. Parker can now use words, signs, and gestures to communicate everything she needs to - which is such a relief for me and her! We continue to work on her communication skills weekly at W2G and I love seeing her grow!

There are so many things I love about W2G and the vibe there - the staff is always so friendly and feels more like an extended family to us. I also love that Parker never dreads going to speech. I barely have to say anything about going to play with Miss Kellie and Parker is pumped! Miss Kellie takes the time to remember little things like Parker calling her brother Bubba and goes above and beyond to tailor the play environment to what Parker is feeling on that particular day. We usually end our time together with high fives or hugs and of course, stickers - one for Parker and one for Bubba. We love you W2G!

“WE ARE FOREVER THANKFUL”

Kole is the youngest of four. He has siblings who have always done the talking for him or translated his speech for others to understand. He is a very strong-willed child who can be slow to warm-up to strangers.

When Kole started with Sarah it was very much on his terms and slow progress. Sarah respected and catered to those needs, but nonchalantly challenged Kole. She adapted her techniques to what Kole needed and he enjoyed her loving, soft approach. The bond was made, ground rules were set, and that’s when Kole hit the ground running with his speech progress.

Sarah provided great “homework” for our family to use in between sessions. Kole began to implement his speech sound cues on his own that Sarah taught him. This allowed him to become less frustrated and more patient when he was asked to repeat himself, if his speech clarity was decreased.

We love Sarah— she has become a close family friend and will always be Kole’s “WeeWah.” Not sure how he is going to manage without his weekly date, but I know Sarah has made a lasting positive impression for Kole’s future that we are forever thankful for.

“SARAH GAVE MY SON AND MY FAMILY ONE OF THE GREATEST GIFTS… MY SON’S VOICE”

Sarah is amazing at what she does. I could not imagine anyone being better.

My son loved Sarah and never felt like he was working on his speech but playing with a friend. She cared about his entire development and person.

She is fun, dedicated, smart, highly educated, and knowledgeable. I felt like Sarah would have done anything in her power and extensive knowledge to help my son find his voice. I completely credit her with my son’s ability to use his voice.

Often when I hear him sing or tell me a story, I remember many silent days wondering what he was thinking. Sarah gave my son and my family one of the greatest gifts we could possibly ever receive-my son’s voice.

My son tells people about his time in speech therapy, “It was hard for me to learn to talk, but I went to speech school with Sarah and she helped me.”
I would recommend her 100%.
