Here at Way To Grow Pediatric Therapy Center, located at 4450 N. Prospect Suite C-5, Peoria Heights, Illinois, we are partnering together with the ABLE Center to offer an innovative Integrated Neurodevelopmental Assessment designed to provide a wholistic and affirming evaluation for children. This assessment combines the expertise of multiple specialists, ensuring a thorough understanding of each child's unique strengths and needs.
Our Team Approach
Our Integrated Neurodevelopmental Assessment involves a collaborative approach, including:
- Neuropsychological Diagnostic Evaluation: Conducted by a psychologist and a school psychologist from the ABLE Center, working together to provide a comprehensive understanding of your child's cognitive and emotional development. In this evaluation, a diagnosis can be given such as: Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and others.
- Occupational Therapy Evaluation: Focused on assessing and enhancing your child's motor skills, sensory processing, + daily living activities.
- Speech Therapy Evaluation: Emphasizing speech, language, social pragmatics, and eating as needed, ensuring a complete picture of your child's communicative abilities.
Play-Based + Family-Centered
We believe in a play-based approach to assessments, making the process engaging + comfortable for your child. Families are encouraged to participate, ensuring that the evaluation is tailored to the child's everyday environment and routines.
Neurodiversity Affirming
Our assessments are grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognizing and valuing the unique differences of each child. Our goal is to highlight strengths and create a supportive plan that empowers your child to reach their fullest potential.
Services and Support
After the assessment, we complete a 1-to-2-week post evaluation follow-up meeting to review results and formulate a customized + collaborative plan for ongoing support + services. This includes recommendations for goal development, therapies, educational strategies, and resources to help your child + family thrive. You will have access to a case coordinator who will walk alongside you every step of the way.

PAPERWORK PARTY: You will receive an email and you simply need to complete the forms, and we'll celebrate the start of your family's journey with us. It's as easy as hitting "submit"!
STORY TIME: After we receive your paperwork, we'll set up a fun and friendly call to chat about your child's unique story, ensuring we understand all their strengths + quirks.
PLAY DATE: Join us at Way to Grow Pediatric Therapy Center, 4450 N Prospect Rd in Heritage Square, for a fun, transdisciplinary play-based assessment. Our cross-clinic dream team will assess your child's strengths + areas for growth, providing a diagnosis when needed + and plan follow-up support.
COLLABORATIVE PLANNING: After the assessment, our team will schedule a follow up virtual meeting to review assessment findings + collaborate with you to create a personalized plan that supports your child's unique journey and developmental goals.
